why a particular vaccine is not given to children who have already got the diseases in their lifetime

Dear student,

Certain cells in our body, known as the Memory B cells keep a memory of the previously attacked pathogens. In case those pathogens attack again, the Memory B cells recognise them and respond to the attack by exhibiting faster antibody production.

In case of vaccination, a weakened or dead pathogen is introduced inside a person. This induces the B cells not only to produce antibodies but also keep a memory of the pathogen that was provided in the vaccine.

As we can see, the activity of the Memory B cell is to keep a memory of the invading pathogens so that there can be quicker action(antibody production) if they attack again. So if one gets a disease in their lifetime, the B cells would have already kept a memory of the pathogen and it is not necessary to introduce that pathogen again via vaccination.

Hence it is not necessary to give a particular vaccine to children who have already got the disease in their lifetime.

the vaccine is not given because the child's body has already made the antibodies to fight against the disease the next time it attacks the body. this is the same role of vaccine. so it will not be needed
