Why Adolf Hitler committed suicide?

Hitler was a personality who had caused great damage to Britain and France . When he get to know that USSR (present day Russia) had surrounded him from all sides, he committed suicide as he didn't wanted to be caught by the victories powers . He knew that they would make him surrender to the whole world , which he would never like to do .
