why are forest being depleted

Forests are being depleted because of the following reasons:

a) Massive deforestation for the purpose of construction and infrastructure like roads, buildings, housing societies

b) Industrial purposes also clear the forest land

c) For raw material for various industries like timber

d) Climatic changes

e) Natural causes like forest fires etc
