Fur bearing animals are mostly found in polar regions because it protects them from the harsh climate existing over there. The thick layer of fat under the fur or skin keeps the animal warm and helps to adapt itself to the cold climate.

As cold polar regions are very cold fur bearing animals like polar bear, reindeer, snow fox etc thick wool are found on their body to protect them from severe cold.
