Why are handles of doors fixed maximum away from the hinge end of the door?

We know that,
Torque,T = R x F

Here, if we increase the R, the value of T will increase for the same force.

So, the handles are provided near the edge and maximum away from the hinge so as to increase the R, and in turn T, which will enables us to open the door easily.

as we know that torque makes objects turn and moment of force(torque) = force* perpendicular distance of force from pivot(fulcrum). the more the torque ,the easier it is to turn the object and more the distance, the more is the the torque.therefore the handles are placed at the end in order to get the maximum distance.
