why are inclusion bodies also called as elementary bodies???

Inclusion bodies are also called as the elementary bodies because these bodies are formed by the process of aggregation of large number of substances mainly proteins which provide the site for replication of the virus in a host cell like bacteria or any eukaryotic cell.Thus, these are called as elementary bodies which form an stable aggregate of various proteins and other genetic material like RNA or DNA in the nuclear or cytoplasmic region responsible for multiplication.
