Why are manures and fertilizers used in fields? A farmer irrigated his field excessively just after applying fertilizers. Explain why this is not a correct practice? Can anyone answer it fast!!! Its urgent!!!

Manure and fertilizers are the main sourcs of nutrient supply to crops. They help to increase soil fertility which further improves the quality of yield. Manures provides the soil with organic matter which improves water holding capacity in sandy soils and prevents water logging in clayey soil.

Excessive irrigation of field after applying fertilizers is not a correct practice as fertilizers are not absorbed by the soil so quickly and can cause water pollution as they can be carried by water to water bodies.
