Why are non-democratic government take decision quickly whereas democratic government are slow in decision making? Does that make democratic government inefficient?

Dear student.
Delay in giving decisions is bound to take place in a democracy, due to the following reasons: 1. It has to follow procedures before arriving at any decision. 2. The decisions so taken should be acceptable to the people and also effective. So, since they are liable to follow norms and also have the responsibility to lend a responsible decision, this actually delays them. On the other hand, non-democratic governments don't take into consideration these factors, and they are also not accountable to people. Hence, non-democratic governments take decisions pretty quickly, compared to democratic government, but that doesn't mean that democratic governments are inefficient. Because of the huge responsibility levied on democratic governments, they take better decisions in favour of the public interest, compared to non-democratic governments.

Because in a democratic government there is a lot of process they need support of proof and no one individual take their decision but in non- democratic the decision are taken to a individual
