Why are we not.charging depreciation on 10%investment in this question ?

Dear student Depreciation is chargablenon fixed assets, investment is not fixed asset so no depreciation is charged on it. Moreover in order to compensate any kind of loss on the investments due to fluctuations investment fluctuation fund is being maintained. Regards
