He is considered as unique ruler as he wrote incriptions on pillers and ashoka's dhamma was not involved in god worships or performance of a sacrifice . He felt that just teaching of father to son . he had duty to teach his subjects .He was inpired by the teachings of lord Gautam buddha

2) he was inspired by the teachings of buddha.

3) he extent his empire at its height.

4) he spread dhamma by appointing dhamma-mahamattas and send them in different countries.
