why C4 plant is more productive than C3 plant??

The C₄ plants are considered to be more productive than the C₃ plants because they lack the phenomenon of photorespiration. They also have the mechanism to increase the CO₂ concentration at enzyme site. C₄ acids are broken in the bundle sheath cells to release CO₂, thus increasing the intracellular concentration of CO₂.
