why did Jody want save the fawn

Dear student
Jody wanted to save the fawn because he felt that they had killed the doe for their own purpose because of which the fawn had been orphaned. Jody's father had killed the doe to extract the rattlesnake's poison by using it's liver. Jody was constantly thinking about the hungry and scared fawn. Jody felt that now it was their responsibility to take care of the fawn otherwise he would starve and die.
Regards.

Jody wanted to save the fawn because his father, Penny had killed the fawn's mother, the doe to extract the rattlesnake's poison by using it's liver. The fawn if left alone in the forest would have died either because or starvation or by being eaten up by the big cats.
