why did mahatma gandhi think that education had enslaved indians?

Mahatma gandhi thought that the english education made the indians feel inferior to the british
They thought that everything about the west was superior and they had no pride in their own culture
It also created a divide between english speaking and non english speaking indians
They began to admire british rule and made them strangers in their own land
Speaking a foreign tongue, despising local culture, the eng. educated did not know how to relate to the masses
