One, Virgina had been an angle to Sir Simon who become instrumental in helping him to embrance eternal peace and the forgiveness of the providence. two , Mr. ottis had brought the chase along with it's ghost. This made him the owner of everything connected with the mansion. So , he was the real owner of the jewels. Three, the jewels had been given to Virginia by the ghost himsefl so they belonged to her.
