why did nazism become popular in germany by 1930? explain.

Nazism became popular in Germany due to many reasons and not one. Some of them are as follows-
A)  FAILURE OF TREATY OF VERSAILLES- Germany had lost world war I as a result of which heavy amount was imposed on them by the allies. Hitler's Nazi Party portrayed itself as a symbol of revival and tried to gain popularity among the people of Germany.
B) ECONOMIC CRISIS- After the failure of treaty of versailles, The weimar Republic did  very little to improve the economic condition of the people of the country. There was severe unemployment, poverty, market downfall, etc. Under this condition, Hitler was seen as a hope for their upliftment.
C)FEAR OF SPREAD OF COMMUNISM-Due to the fear of Russia overtaking Germany,Htlter tried to reveal to the people of Germany the negative effects of communism and encouraged them to join his party.
All these factors combined led to the spread of Nazism in Germany by 1930s

Nazism became popular in Germany by 1930 on account of various reasons. The most apparent being the Great Depression. The Weimar Republic did little to remedy the country’s economic downfall, and Hitler was presented as a saviour to the humiliated German people living in economic and political crises. Nazi propaganda stirred hopes in times when banks were shut down, unemployment reigned and destitution was a common sight. At such a time, Hitler promised jobs, restoration of national dignity and a better future. Consequently, by 1932, the Nazi Party became the largest party with 37% votes in the Reichstag.

American financial support to Germany was withdrawn due to the Wall Street
Exchange crash.
The Great Economic Depression- The national income of the USA fell by
half, factories shut down, exports fell, farmers were badly hit and speculators withdrew
their money from the market.
In Germany, the industrial production, when compared to that of 1929, had reduced to
40% by 1932.
Workers were either paid less or they lost their jobs.
The fixed salaried employees and pensioners saw a decrease in their real income as the
currency lost its value.
Small businessmen, the self-employed and retailers suffered as their business got ruined.
Large mass of peasantry was affected by the fall in agricultural prices.
Defects in the Weimer Constitution
The Weimer Constitution had some inherent defects which made it unstable and
vulnerable to dictatorship:
Proportional representation made single-majority impossible, leading to a rule
by coalitions.
Article 48, gave the President the powers to impose emergency, suspend civil
rights and rule by decree.
