Why did the narrator decide to go to Mrs. Dorling's house second time ?
Dear student
The narrator went to Mrs Dorling's house the first time to pick up her mothers things. Mrs Dorling said that she did not expect her to return and the narrator was not allowed to enter the house as Mrs Dorling said that it was not a suitable time.
The narrator wanted to see her mother's things because she associated them with her mother and the loss of her mother weighed heavily on her. She knew she would have to try to get her mother's things back and thus visited the house a second time.
