Why did the narrator mentioned about the *creepers and mangoes* in the village Hoshahali in the chapter 'Ranga's Marriage' ??

Dear student

The narrator mentions the mangoes and the creepers while talking about his village. He says that his village is special and everything in it has a special quality. For example, the sourness of the raw mango from their village mango tree is so strong, that it will give you a cough. Similarly the creepers growing in the village pond have flowers which are a sight to see. Even it's leaves are useful, as you can use them to serve the afternoon meal on. He exaggerates the usefulness and the uniqueness of everyday things in his village, simply to glorify the village.
