Why did the scientist think of cloning animals like the below image what is even the use of cloning because it is written that during the process many die before birth and soon after birth only the sheep named dolly is cloned

Cloning is basically the formation of genetically and morphologically similar animals. It is an experimental method and hence due to this many animals die but it is necessary for evolution of organisms.
There are nowadays many successful results achieved from the cloning of animals which you will learn in detail in higher classes. Here sheep is mentioned because it is the first animal formed from cloning and due to modern techniques more and more animals are being successfully cloned.
