Why did the Tsarist autocracy collapse in 1917 ??..

Dear Student,

The Tsarist autocracy collapsed in the year 1917 due to the following reasons :
1)The Tsar packed the parliament with the conservatives after dismissing the initial two Dumas .
2) During the First World War, the Tsar took decisions without consulting the Dumas. His decisions led to large scale casualties of the Russian soldiers during the First World War.
3)Burning of crops and buildings by the retreating Russian armies created a huge shortage of food in Russia.

Regards.
