why did virginia show pity on the canterville ghost,when she saw him in the tapestry chamber

she showed pity on the canterville ghost because she could understand how lonely he was.....n after listening to his worries about not eating for 300 years and being alone she couldn't bare to see his sad state.....he was in need of help, a friend, a person who can make him understand about his mistakes n help him with his worries......

because the ghost looked cute !! :P

Because when she came to know about the past of the ghost...........

because she felt sorry for the ghost after she got to know that he was awake and alone for 300 years

d only reason was tht she was very amazed 2 knw tht hw d ghost had been put to his death.

hw the brothers of lady eleonare de canterville treated him. she was astonished as she come 2 knw tht he had been starved 2 death. n was locked in a secret chamber by his wifes bros. he was so malnutilised tht he cant even gather power 2 pick up d jug which was so near 2 him.
