Why do animals need to maintain homeostasis

Homeostasis defined as the ability of an organism to maintain the balance and stability of its body between the internal and external environment.
Importance of Homeostasis:

• It is essential for normal cell function, and overall balance.
• It helps our body to keep both water and salt balance level so the process of osmosis and diffusion can work properly.
• As enzymes required by our body needs optimal temperature to function so homeostasis  maintain a constant body temperature.
• Thus all organisms need to maintain homeostasis constantly in order to properly grow, work, and survive.
