We know that water exerts pressure on any object immersed in it. The special suit of a deep sea protects the diver from this huge  pressure. Without the suits the body of diver will be crushed due to the water pressure.

The water proof suit also keeps the diver dry and It also helps in streamlining so that he can dive efficiently.
