why do different components of white light deviate through different angles when passing through a triangular glass prism???

This phenomena is known as Dispersion of Light. It occurs because light is made up of seven different colors or wavelengths and thus behave differently upon hitting the prism. It is such that the refractive index of each wavelength varies which splits the single white light, causing dispersion.

components of white ligth deviate through diffrent angles bcoz white is a mixture of 7 colour which have diffrent wavelength. according yo yheir wavelength the deviates when passed through a triangular prism making diffrent angles.
