why do liquids flow ? Explain .

LIQUIDS HAVE NO FIXED SHAPE,NO FIXED VOLUME ,THE SPACE IN BETWEEN THE CONSTITUENT PARTICLES AND KINETIC ENERGY OF THE PARTICLES ARE INTERMEDIATE,THER ARE NOT RIGID AND NOW COMING TO THE POINT-

BECAUSE OF THEIR MEDIATE AMOUNT OF SPACE BETWEEN THEIR PARTICLES AND BECAUSE OF THE LESS FORCE OF ATTRACTION ,LIQUIDS HAVE A TENDANCY TO FLOW.THAT IS THEY HAVE FLUIDITY.

liquids can flow easily because the molecules are less closely packed also intermolecular force of attraction is less . means they have greater freedom of movement

In a liquid, the bonds are only created by ends of molecules being partially charged. These may be polar bonds when one end has a permanent charge due to an atom having a greater attraction for electrons. The uneven charge distribution creates bonds when ends of molecules with different charges attract each other.
A liquids resistance to flow is known as the liquids viscosity. Honey has a high viscosity. Water has a lower viscosity. The slower liquid flows, the higher viscosity is. The viscosity results from the strength of the attraction between the particles of the liquid. For many liquids, viscosity increases as the liquid becomes colder

liquid has a less force of attraction...and the atoms are not closely to each other so they are kind of freely..but they dont go so far from each other..so thats why they go more faster...

hey iwill answer in a simple manner

liquids flow because they have high intermolecular space and low intermolecular force of attraction.and they show the property of fluidity

  • 6

liquids have no fixed shape but have a fixed volume. in the liquid state, particles move freely and have greater space between each other as compared to particlesin the solid state. thus, the liquids can flow very easily.

In the liquid state, particles move freely and have greater space between each other as compared to particlesin the solid state. thus, the liquids can flow very easily.

  • 2

in liquids particles are losely held and they have spaces in between them  and forces of attractions between the particles is less when compared with solids and more when compared with gases

  • -1

the force of attraction among the molecules of liquids is comparatively less...so they have the tendency to flow because of not having definite shape...

  • 0

The intermolecular force of attraction between the particles in the liquid is quite low as compare to solids so they can move freely so water flows easily.

  • -3

the force of attraction b/w particles of liquid is quite as compared to solid so water flows easily and the molecules also move freely
