why do magnets lose their magnetism when dropped from a height,hammeredor burned?
Magnets lose magnetism because the magnetic domains inside them become unaligned due to heating or stresses. In magnets the domains are aligned in the north-south direction which is why the magnets have the property of magnetism. With time this north south alignment is lost and the magnet slowly loses its magnetic property.
