Why do plant have more dead tissues as compared to animals ?

The plants have sedentary life as they do not move from their place. The dead cells present in the plants can provide mechanical strength just like the living cells without expending more energy on maintenance. Thus, plants possess more dead tissues than animals.

as there is less mobility found in plans therefore they can't move so they are having more dead tissues when compared to animal

also they need mechanical support to with stand the harsh conditions of the environment around them when the Seasons change
