why do seeds need wet soil to germinate and grow into a big tree.Prove it

Actually seeds require moisture and not soil to germinate. A seed completely inside wet soil will not germinate but will decay. While a seed in moist condition in the presence of sunlight will germinate. A seed can be germinated on palm but it will not grow to become a tree. After germination nutrients are required as well as strong support is required to withstand against wind and other destabilising natural forces. It is not possible to give water,nutrients and artificial support to a big tree. So seeds are sown in soil so that it get sunlight as well as moisture from soil. After germination and after some growth it absorbs nutrients and water from soil and in the presence of sunlight it makes its own food. After many years it becomes a big tree,its roots grow inside soil in the direction of water.

a seed needs nutritients to grow .....it will need water bcoz lmbibation of water causes the seed coat to swell and allows the cells of the embryo to rehydrate.instead of soil take two cotton and wet one and leave the other one dry wrap one chickpea in both the cottons and leave them over night to germinate , the wet will grow than the dry

WATER IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE GROWTH OF A SEED.IF WE PLANT A SEED IN DRY SOIL IT WILL NOT GET ANY WATER SO IT WON'T GROW.BUT IF WE PLANT IFT IN WET SOIL IT WILL GROW.please please please please give me a thumbs up.
