Why do sons of a haemophilic father never suffer from this trait?
- Haemophilia is a X-linked recessive trait.A son will recieve one gamete from both his parents.
- Since it is a son he will recieve the Y gamete from his father and the X gamete from his mother.
- The Y gamete never holds a trait in any case. The trait will be only on the X gamete.
- So even if the father show the disease, the son will not get the affected gene from his father.
THUMBS UP PLEASE :D:)
