The rays of the sun pass through various layers of he atmosphere, therefore the stars appear to be twinkling.

Stars are the luminous bodies which produces it's own light. As we know stars are very far from the earth , and they are also luminous bodies. So as when a luminous body is kept very far away from our sight it are seem to be twinkling , in the same way the stars twinkle.

Actually stars do not twinkle. Stars are very far from the earth and when they pass through different layers of atmosphere we find them twinkling.

they don't twinkle actually but we imagine that they are twinkle
