Why do trees in mountains have dark green colored leaves?

The mountains receives less sun light as compare to plains. In order to obtain and capture large amount of sun light to carry out photosynthesis, mountain trees need to have more number of chlorophyll in their leaves. The chlorophyll contain green coloured pigment called chloroplast. As mountain trees have large number of chlorophyll hence chloroplast, they have dark green colored leaves.
