Why do we do scouring while processing wool?

Scouring is a physical process of cleaning the sheep or animal hair and free them from dust, grease and other wastes for further processing. It helps in refining the wool.

Wool scouring is done to remove dirt and non wool contaminants from wool!!!!!

the wool contains dirt and lice which is not hygenic for us so scouring is done
