why do we prefer bucket made of plastic rather than metals

Metals are reactive, metals like iron can easily get oxidised or rusting occurs, moreover since bucket is in constant contact with moisture and air, and hence can be degraded easily if made up of metal.
Hence, plastic buckets are preferred as chemical composition of plastic is such that moisture does not harm its structure.
