why do we prefer to wear synthetic clothes in rainy season

Cloth made of fibres like cotton, jute, wool having pores in it it soak and retain more water.
Synthetic clothes made from plastic like material, or monofilament which do not have more pore so it don't absorb water and water drain off. so we do not get wet.
so we wear synthetic cloths in rainy season
