Why do we see different phases of the moon

The revolution of the Moon around the Earth makes the Moon appear as if it is changing shape in the sky. From Earth we see the Moon grow from a thin crescent to a full disk (or full moon) and then shrink back to a thin crescent again before vanishing for a few days. The phases of the Moon depend on its position in relation to the sun and Earth. As the Moon makes its way around the Earth, we see the bright parts of the Moon's surface at different angles. These are called "phases" of the Moon.

And a thumps up plz

The phases of moon occur because we can see only that part of moon which reflectsthe light of the Sun towards us.

Because it reflects the light and due to the changing position of moon and earth as they both rotate.

we see different phases of the moon becaus the suns light shines on it when earth half way covers it so only a bit of the moon shows when it is whole the sun is very near it so it covers the whole moon with its light but it is far enough for the part of earth that can see the moon to leave it dark

hope it helps!

MOON REVOLVES AROUND THE EARTH ONCE EVERY MONTH AND MOVES AROUND THE SUN ALONGWITH EARTH,DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF ITS SUN LIT SURFACE ARE TURNED TOWARDS THE EARTH LEADING TO A CHANGE IN THE APPEARANCE OF MOON AND FORMATION OF PHASES OF THE MOON.

as the moon doesn't have it's own light and when the sunlights falls on it then only the moon can be seen.

therefore when the moon revolves around the earth we r able to see only that part of the moon on which sunlight falls that's why phases of moon occurs.
