WHY DO WE SLIP ON A MUDDY ROAD AND WHEN WE STEP ON A BANANA PEEL?

When we walk on a muddy road or a banana peel, the friction is decreased because of the viscous ( viscosity  means smoothness of a substance) substances present in the muddy floor and banana peel.

we slip due 2 smothness of surfaces of banana &muddy road the friction reduces nd we slip

  • -3

because of less friction we are not able to walk properly on it

due to less friction.

because as the surface is smoother friction is less

When two surfaces come in contact they should interlock but in the case of banana peel the surface is smoother. Thus no interlocking could happen and therefore the friction is less and we slip.

bcoz of less friction between the surface and thefoot

We sleep on Muddy road or we sleep when we step on a banana peel because both are frictionless and friction less thing does not allowed to walk from it

When we step on a banana peel or a muddy road, due to the smoothness of the objects, the friction is decreased. Smoother the object is, lesser the friction will be.

Frictional force helps us to provide grip on the road when we are walking because of interlocking of projections of one surface into depressions of others.

On muddy road , the water provides a thin layer between our feet and road.

The thin water prevents the interlocking from happening and hence there is less friction and less grip which makes us slip.
