Why do workers in silk industry suffer from sorter 's disease

Sorter's disease is a pulmonary form of anthrax that results from the inhalation of spores of the bacterium Bacillus anthracis in the wool of contaminated sheep. It is caused due to inhalation of spores of the bacterium Bacillus anthracis. It is a pulmonary(lung) anthrax that affects the humans. It is an occupation linked disease found in people dealing or involved working with sheep wool.  Its symptoms includes, cold or flu like conditions and in severe cases may cause damage to lungs and finally death.

Sorter's disease is disease caused by Bacillus anthracis, which is caused to people working in wool industry.

The workers of sericulture industry often develop respiratory problems like asthma ,chronic bronchitis and difficulty in breathing due the liberation of allergy causatives during the development of silkworm. The allergens from the silk worm excrete, silkworm cocoon, scales and the cuticles of the abdomen and wings of the silk moth are the main causative agents of the asthma and other respiratory problems.
