why does a female frog produces hundred of eggs at a time while human female release only one or two ova per month

Frogs undergo external fertilization and in human internal fertilization takes place. As in external fertilization eggs are released in the surrounding for getting fertilized there are high changes of destruction of eggs by natural processes or by predators. For this reason female frogs lay hundreds of eggs at a time. More number of eggs means more chances to get fertilized. But in case of human female only one egg produces every month and are kept securely inside the uterus with several layers of protection. There is very less risk of destruction of egg in this case. Thus human female can afford to produce single egg per month.
