Why does a star appear to rise four minutes earlier in the sky everyday than the previous day?

It should be noted that along with rotating on its axis in 24 hours the Earth also revolves around the sun. Now, it is such that the earth moves about 1 degree of its orbit (which in total is of 360 degrees) in each day. This would mean that the position of the earth changes about 1 degree each day ad thus the sky we are viewing everyday would also change. This 1 degree shift in the Earth's position due its motion in an orbit around the sun causes the sky to shift. This shift causes the stars (and everything else in the night sky) to appear 4 minutes early everyday.
