The bangle makers of Firozabad were exploited endlessly by moneylenders, middle-men, police persons, politicians, etc. They were forced to work in unsafe conditions and paid meagre wages. Since individually they were not capable of protesting against the injustice directed towards them, the author suggested forming co-operatives to raise their voice. He hoped that collectively they could revolt against the powerful lobby who were exploiting them.
