From Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh there is a time lag of two hours
So, the local time at 82 degree 30' E longitude passing through
Mirzapur ( Uttar Pradesh) has been selected as Indian standard time
for the whole nation It has helped in avoiding lot of confusion as
in absence of it different regions would have followed different
times which would not be feasible
