why does mrs pearson feel that it would be very difficult for her to act upon mrs fitzgerald's advice?

Dear student 

Mrs. Pearson wants to listen to Mrs. Fitzgerald's advice and wants to be treated with kindness and respect by her family. But she feels that, by fighting for her basic rights, she will cause discomfort and unhappiness amongst her family. She does not want to create problems and continues to let her family treat her like a servant.
