Why does Mrs S tell her daughter to remember Mrs Dorling's address when she herself was the one allwong dorling to take all the stuff away?

Mrs S told her daughter to remember Mrs Dorling's address in spite of allowing her to cart her belongings to her home because she hoped that someday she would be able to retrieve them from Mrs Dorling after the war. Mrs Dorling would carry heavy cases full of their things to her home and the narrator remembered to ask her address. Her mother harboured the hope that someday she would be able to come back and take her things after the war. That is why she wanted her daughter to remember.
