why does our body not feel the enormous atmospheric pressure?

Our internal body pressure is balances the external atmospheric pressure and this coupling with nature is important for our survival. If the external pressure was somehow reduced or became (like in outer space) our insides will swell up and even burst due to the fact that capillaries and veins carrying blood would rupture.
