Why does Physisorption decrease with increase in temperature?

This due to the fact that, when temperature is increases, the kinetic energy of adsorbed molecules gets increased and they overcome the electrostatic force of attraction by the adsorbent surface. Physisorption is exothermic in nature. ... Therefore, physisorption decreases with increase in temperature.

When the temperature increases, the kinetic energy of the molecules increases , due to which they escape from the electrostatic attraction. Hence, there is a breakage of bond between adsorbed and adsorbent molecules.
