Why does the magnetic field develop around a wire when electric current flows through it?

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Whenever a charge moves it produces magnetic field around it, and current is nothing but movement of negatively charged electrons inside a conductor. Thus, the motion of electrons produces a magnetic field around the wire, in the form of concentric circles. This phenomenon is known as electromagnetic effect.
