why does the writer feel that it was rong of him to open the black tin box ?

I suppose this Q is from the best christmas present in the world. No???

The writer felt that it was wrong of him for it belonged someone else and it is not quite appreciated when one peeks in other's personal items.

Thw writer feels wrong because it was not his own thing, and, as it  was in a secret drawer the thing must be personel belonging. It is wrong to see personal things of other person.

Advice - Should never see or read a personal diary of others. It may cause trouble + it is a bad thing

The writer felt wrong to open the black tin box that was inside the secret drawer because the box was in a secret drawer that means it would be something personnel and opening a thing that does not belong to us is against our moral values. that is the reason why he felt that what he was doing was wrong.
THANK YOU
