why economic sectors differ from primary secondary and tertiary

Dear student.

The economy of an country is divided into various sector, they all are different in a sense they include different activities:
1) Primary Sector: It includes extracting raw materials and production of basic food. Activities of this sector includes agriculture, farming, harvesting, grazing, quarrying, etc.

2) Secondary Sector: It includes activities relating to manufacturing of finished goods. It includes various production, processing, chemical and engineering industries, construction, etc.

3) Tertiary sector: It provide various ancillary services to economy. It includes banking, communication, transportation, etc.
In macroeconomic the economic sectors include government, households, investors and foreign sector.
the primary, secondary and tertiary are also sectors of the country but they are categorized from industrial perspective.
