Why is agriculture regarded as a system

Dear student,
Agriculture is being regarded as a system because it requires proper input and output process. Moreover, it also requires planning, process ,materials, production, distribution, etc. to be carried out. For example, in order to grow rice, one needs to cultivate the field which requires various inputs like plough, tractor, etc. and then after the cultivation is done, the final product i.e. the output comes out. This all happens in a chronological manner due to which we can consider agriculture as a system.

In subtropical and arid environments, the timing and extent of agriculture may be limited by rainfall, either not allowing multiple annual crops in a year, or requiring irrigation. In all of these environments perennial crops are grown (coffee, chocolate) and systems are practiced such as agroforestry. In temperate environments .
