Why is bhagwad gita is know as the main source of bhakti ?

Dear student,
  • The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is known to be the main source of "Bhakti" for Hindus. It is considered to be one of the main holy scriptures for Hinduism.
  • The Bhagavad Gita presents a synthesis of Hindu ideas about Dharma, Bhakti, Karma. The Gita's call for selfless action inspired many leaders of the Indian Independence movement also.
  • Bhakti means attachment, participation. love and devotion. This word is originally used in Hinduism referring to devotion and love for personal god. But in Bhagavad Gita, this means one of the possible paths of spirituality and towards moksha, as in "bhakti marga".
Regards.
