Why is caesin in human milk better protected than in cow's milk?

Dear student,
Milk contains two major proteins:  Whey & Casein.
  • Casein is difficult to digest than Whey.
  • The amount of casein in milk varies according to the breed of animal and stage of lactation, but the general range of casein constituents per 100ml of milk given below.

 Goat (1.8 -2.47) <  Camel  (2 – 2.5%) <   Cow (2.63 – 2.8%) <  Buffalo (3%  - 4% )< Human ( 10%)

Human milk has the right amount of proteins, fat , sugar and vitamins for growth and development of infants.
